For its sixth year in a row, Eclipse Automation secured a spot on the 2019 Growth 500 list of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies released earlier today from Canadian Business and Maclean’s. Ranked #256, Eclipse was recognized for its five-year revenue growth of 349%, compared to the previous year’s ranking of #206 with a similar five-year revenue growth of 344%.
The Growth 500 profiles the country’s most successful entrepreneurial businesses and is produced by Canadian Business. Eclipse has experienced unprecedented growth in the past year with 40% more employees, two sizable business acquisitions, multiple new facilities and global expansion.
“We are honoured to have kept pace and be included with this group of recipients – an elite community and our country’s most successful, vibrant and important businesses,” mentions Steve Mai, President and CEO, Eclipse Automation. “When I started out almost 20 years ago, the focus was to establish a business model that combined cross-industry know-how and innovation, to provide flexible and scaleable automation systems for our customers. Today, our engineered solutions go beyond the basics and are bundled with advanced technology, process and control systems. We continue to solve operational challenges and significantly improve productivity with proven methods into new industries and geographical markets.”
“The companies on the 2019 Growth 500 are truly remarkable. Demonstrating foresight, innovation and smart management, their stories serve as a primer for how to build a successful entrepreneurial business today,” says Beth Fraser, Growth 500 program manager. “As we celebrate over 30 years of the Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies program, it’s encouraging to see that entrepreneurship is healthier than ever in this country.”
From controls systems to robotics, Eclipse delivers end-to-end engineered automation systems for advanced production, manufacturing and distribution. Solutions support and complement client investment plans and strategies. Along with many Growth 500 award winners, Eclipse is located in Cambridge within the Golden Horseshoe in southern Ontario. The area is a hotbed for industrial and tech companies, along with close proximity to over a dozen prominent universities and technical colleges. Growth 500 winners are profiled in a special print issue of Canadian Business published with Maclean’s magazine and online at CanadianBusiness.com.
